Jessie Lloyd’s Aunties Recording Project is an initiative to support and promote the musical knowledge and talent of mature-aged and senior Indigenous women. Acknowledging and preserving their songs and the songs of their communities. This pilot project’s first collaborators are;

Elverina Johnson – Yarrabah

Margaret Nayama Gabey – Thursday Island

Rochelle Pitt – Brisbane

The outcome of this project is to record 3 x songs per Aunties to use for future opportunities and collaborations. This project has been funded by The Office for the Arts – Contemporary Indigenous Music program.

    Hi Jessie, just had e mail from MK Stables in UK that your show on 13th March has been rescheduled, hope the new date gets finalised soon and myself and my daughter really look forward to hearing your songs in the not to distant future
